School is for Fools!

I survived nursing school!!! Wahoo

The picture below is of my graduating class. I am sooo bugged by this picture, see if you can find me way in the back. We had just come back from a gas station run and found everyone on one side of the classroom. Half the people have no clue what is going on and the other half just don't care. Our instructor was standing on top of a table and couldn't figure out how to use the camera, it was hillarious. If they would have said something about a picture, I would have brought my camera and tripod and taken a picture that would have been 10x better than this one. Well, it is good to have a picture anyway.

These are my two best nursing buds. Love you guys! First semester Sunny had a mental breakdown thanks to pregnancy. Second semester I broke down, and third Kristi had a crisis. I'm so glad we had support from each other. Thanks for helping me get through nursing school!

Now, I'm laying on the couch watching TV and thinking to myself, I have nothing to do tomorrow except go to the gym and play softball. I am not setting my alarm and am going to enjoy the day. I wont be able to rest for long. I still have a lot to do before baby comes. This is my plan for the future. I have an interview for the residency program at the hospital which will consist of 9 weeks of training and classroom education. In the meantime, I will take the Nclex. then it will be about time for me to go on maternity leave. Come November I plan to work in the float pool where I will work wherevere I am needed in the entire hospital at UVRMC and AFH (hopefully only 1 day a week). I would love to work in the emergency department but feel I will get the best experience and knowlede starting in the float pool. That way if Chris and I ever move, I will be able to work anywhere. Even though I will have my RN I am planning on going to BYUI to get my Bachelor's degree online. I love this world we live in where I can sit in my PJ's and get a degree. Hopefully once baby comes things will calm down a bit, Ya right.

Congrats on finishing! Glad you survived - now go out and get a darn paycheck!!! You deserve it after all of the hard work you have done.

Glad I stumbled upon your blog. It's always fun to browse through...AVERY was my vote btw. My good friend, paige, named their little girl Avery and I love it!!! All good choice though. Whatever you pick will be the best!!!
